Health Care Assistant
Big Hearts Home Healthcare is looking for reliable health care aides to start regular and steady work immediately. We proudly offer regular shifts, some of the highest wages in the home care industry. This position will be within the local area and applicants are encouraged to have a car to commute to client homes. Applicants are invited to apply and interviews will be held end of this week.
Big Heart Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced female caregiver to provide care for a 7-year-old child diagnosed with Autism. The caregiver will work closely with the family and follow the child’s individualized care plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide general supervision to ensure client safety and well-being
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene
- Support with meal preparation and routine household tasks
- Encourage engagement in daily activities and provide companionship
- Assist with mobility, toileting, and basic care needs as required
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Follow established care plans and family/client instructions
- Administer medication as directed.
- Support daily routines, including morning and evening care
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings when required
- Observe and report any changes in condition to the care team
- Ability to follow detailed care instructions
QUALIFICATIONS:- Ability to read and write English/Other languages an asset
- Previous experience with children, preferably with Autism or other developmental conditions.
- Health Care Aide certification
- Driver's License Class 5 with own car
- Long Term Care experience preferred
- Recent and clear Criminal Record Check
- Organizational skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Proof of required immunizations
- Reliable vehicle and clean drivers abstract
