POSITION SUMMARYThis is a temporary internship opportunity (Summer 2026) for a current student or recent graduate interested in gaining practical, hands-on experience in corporate finance and accounting. The Finance Intern will support the Finance team with data entry, reconciliations, reporting, and accounts payable/receivable activities, while gaining exposure to financial systems, reporting cycles, and professional business practices.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented student who is eager to learn, comfortable working with numbers, and interested in developing a foundational understanding of finance and accounting within a dynamic business environment.
POSITION DESCRIPTION- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review and basic reconciliations
- Assist with account reconciliations and transaction-level reviews
- Support month-end and year-end activities, including preparation of working papers and schedules
- Assist with preparing financial reports and internal summaries
- Perform basic data analysis to support reporting accuracy and identify variances or discrepancies
- Support internal controls and audit-related activities as required
- Work collaboratively with Finance team members and other departments to support timely information flow
- Gain exposure to financial systems, reporting processes, and standard accounting practices
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail with an interest in finance and accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
