Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting human resources functions related to payroll and accounting. This role requires proficiency with various accounting and HRIS software systems, along with strong analytical skills to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. The Finance Officer will play a key role in safeguarding the organization’s financial health and supporting operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage 300, Ceridian, or ADP to process transactions accurately.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure consistency between financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Enter data precisely into Time Clock Plus systems and payroll platforms, ensuring timely processing of employee payments.
- Support payroll processing using systems like Sage 300 by verifying data entries and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Conduct analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with human resources functions related to payroll administration, benefits management, and compliance reporting.
- Prepare detailed reports on financial status for management review and decision-making purposes.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions in accordance with organizational policies.
Requirements- Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage 300 QuickBooks, Ceridian, or ADP.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, account reconciliation, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management.
- Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret financial data effectively.
- Knowledge of human resources systems and processes related to payroll and benefits administration.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Prior experience in finance or accounting roles is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Sage 300, TCP is advantageous.
