The Financial Analyst will be a key contributor to the dynamic and highly visible NAM and CAN Finance team. The role reports to the Director of Finance for the Imaging and Advanced Therapies Business in Canada, based in Oakville and will be a subject matter expert in all facets of the functions of the group, including financial reporting, cost controlling, KPI analysis, Forecast, Budget and ad hoc projects & reports, also supports the CRM and sales activities from financial aspects. You will contribute to a healthy team environment in a high-performance culture. The Financial Analyst will have opportunities to be part of business initiatives and finance projects.
Specific responsibilities include the following:- As a trusted partner to the Director of Finance, you will provide support to business administration and controlling services over the CAN organization.
- Supports the planning, controlling and analysis of financial activities for the business (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow related)
- Active involvement in the month and quarter end close, analysis performed, appropriate controls are in place, to ensure clean books in accordance with accounting principles and as per RIC requirements.
- Provide transparency and comments on cost drivers, build up cost bridges, advise and support opportunities for productivity improvement & costs saving measures.
- Supports in developing Costs Planning, Monitoring, Controlling, regular analysis and provide commentaries on deviations actual vs plan/forecast.
- Suggest, implement and analyze results of meaningful KPIs to enable decision making Supports on corporate initiatives, change management, supports the SAP P58 project implementation, ad hoc projects as needed
- Audit requests management and interface with auditors (internal/external)
- Supports, suggestions and implementation of digitalization and automation opportunities to streamline and simplify existing workflows
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience- Know-how and experience in budgeting/forecasting, monthly close activities, and various types of financial analysis (preferably 2 to 3 years)
- Valued and recognized as trusted advisor to functional or line management
- Ability to manage up, down, and in all directions collaboration without expressed authority, building appropriate rapport with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Experience in business excellence & process optimization is strong plus
- Excellent professional, analytical and problem solving competence
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is must
- Working experience and knowledge of SAP is plus.
- Experience with business intelligence tools, data analysis and visualization, automation and digitalization is preferred (Excel macros, Microsoft PowerApps suite, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration or related area
The expected Compensation for this position is: $22.56- $32.30 CAD per hour (+4%) Factors which may affect starting compensation within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the success
