DESCRIPTION: Controller- Richmond BC – Full-Time PermanentThe Controller is responsible for the company’s financial reporting, controls, and overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations. This role also provides forward-looking financial insight, supports planning and forecasting, and partners with leadership to guide business decisions. We are looking for someone who enjoys the work itself and is not above the details. This is not a purely strategic or oversight role – it requires someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves and managing the day-to-day.
Key Responsibilities- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and financial reporting, with variance analysis and commentary
- Ensure accuracy of the general ledger, reconciliations, and compliance
- Manage budgeting process and maintain rolling forecasts
- Analyze financial reports and provide clear, actionable insights
- Monitor cash flow and support working capital management
- Cash forecasting
- Prepare and manage insurance renewals and insurance requests
- Oversee AP/AR, payroll, and accounting team performance
- Oversee procurement function, ensuring purchasing and inventory aligns with budgets and approvals
- Maintain strong internal controls and improve financial processes
- Support leadership with financial modeling and decision-making

Qualifications:- Solid ASPE accounting and financial reporting experience
- CPA designation or equivalent accredited professional accounting designation is preferred
- Experience leading and developing an accounting team
- Comfortable working with Power Pivot and Power BI
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Ability to communicate financial insights clearly
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and commercially minded
