Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of fireplaces and equipment. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while ensuring that all repairs and installations meet safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including gas fitting and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to interpret schematics and work with various fireplace systems. A company vehicle with required equipment will be provided. This position comes with a full time salary, with bonuses available to a qualified candidate. Our company will provide you with pre-booked and scheduled appointments - all you have to do is show up!
Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot appliance and equipment issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and installations on a wide range of appliances, fireplace units, and mechanical systems
- Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately identify faults
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal functioning of systems
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all service activities
- Assist in assembly or installation of new equipment as needed
Skills- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
- Mechanical knowledge related to appliance repair, fireplace systems, gas, electric, and wood.
- Proven experience in appliance repair or similar technical roles
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Knowledge of fireplace systems is a requirement
- Experience with assembly of mechanical or electronic components is desirable
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
