Title: Food Program Assistant

Pay Grid: Front line ($17.85 to $20.90 per hour)

Reporting to: Head Cook/Elementary Vice Principal

Summary of Duties:

The Food Program Assistant will work closely with the Head Cook. The Food Program Assistant will maintain a positive, supportive and professional relationship with the education community in and out of the classroom. The school is a fast paced environment, providing healthy meals to staff and students at Xet'olacw Community School.

Key Deliverables and Expectations:

• Assist with prepping Breakfast and Lunch
• Assist with food orders
• Assist with serving and clean up
• Perform other related duties as requested.

Experience and Attributes:

• Must have Grade 12, ECE or other related certificates, diploma an asset
• First Aid an asset.
• Food Safe an asset or willingness to obtain.
• Able to work independently with little or no supervision, flexibly in a creative manner.
• Must have empathy, understanding and dedication to service.
• Knowledge of Lil’wat Language and Culture
• Must be reliable
• Must complete a criminal record check.
