Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Inc. is currently looking for Part-Time Seasonal Food Service Associate(s) to join our team!

The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Provide fast and efficient service while maintaining exceptional customer experience at Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre and Food Service Outlets/concessions.
• Operate cash register and accurately follow Cash Handling Procedures.
• Demonstrate and maintain strong product knowledge and use suggestive selling (upselling) for each transaction in Food Service Outlets/concessions.
• Accurately process food and drink orders and prepare them in a timely manner in compliance with operational requirements (speed of service).
• Set up and take down of concessions stands for events.
• Conduct inventory on product as required.
• Understand and Follow Food Safety, Workplace Sanitation and Personal Hygiene practices, and comply with internal/external quality and safety standards, rules, policies and procedures.
• Assist with event operations as required such as set up and tear down, catering delivery and crowd control.
• Follow directions of the Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
• Comply with all legislative requirements (e.g. Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, Act etc.); and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate(s) will possess the following qualifications:

• Valid Food Handlers Certification and Smart Serve Certificate are mandatory
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Be highly organized with strong planning and time management skills.
• Willingness to learn and ability to follow provided directions.

Three references will be required, and the successful candidate(s) will be required to obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector

AVAILABILITY

Hours will vary depending on scheduling requirements; the successful candidate(s) must be able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

A legacy of the 2015 Toronto Pan Am and Parapan Am Games, Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre is operated by a corporation co-owned by the City of Toronto and the University of Toronto. The world-class facility was the largest sport new-build for the Games and the largest infrastructure investment in Canadian amateur sport history. Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre delivers extensive programming that serves recreational and community groups, university students, high performance athletes, as well as fitness centre clientele.
