We are a small- to medium-size order fulfillment, cross-border shipping, purchasing, and receiving operation seeking a proven professional to lead our operation. This person will be responsible for all operations, including managing a staff of five, overseeing cross-border shipping, customer order fulfillment and resolution, overseeing the management of inventory, receiving, and workplace safety compliance.
Key duties include maximizing efficiency, managing cross-border shipping, streamlining logistics, inventory management, leading our team, ensuring staff morale remains optimum, customer order fulfillment and resolution, managing receiving, and ensuring workplace health and safety standards compliance. This is a hands-on role which requires strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Computer proficiency and cross-border shipping understanding is mandatory. Specific proficiency with MS Office Suite, cross-border shipping, and the ability to learn and understand inventory and order-fulfillment software is necessary.
Key Duties Include:- Understanding and Managing Cross-border Shipping: Oversee and manage cross-border shipping
- Leading and managing staff: Supervise, assist as needed, ensure the integrity of individual employee and team morale, and recommend and implement best practices across all functions of our operation
- Overseeing Order fulfillment: Manage the order fulfillment process -- including problem resolution, picking and packing, shipping, inter-company international warehouse transfers, and customer returns, while ensuring efficiency, cost effectiveness, and timeliness.
- Managing Production: Oversee the filling of various types product into appropriate shipping containers.
- Ensuring Organization and Cleanliness: Ensuring daily tidiness, organization, and cleanliness of workplace
- Coordinating Receiving: Oversee receiving function.
- Ensure safety and compliance: Improve and enforce safety protocols and procedures to create and maintain a compliant work environment
- Optimize operations: Manage warehouse layout and processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Maintain supplies: Monitor and reorder packaging and general warehouse supplies
Qualifications:- Strong knowledge and proven track record of understanding cross-border shipments
- Excellent leadership skills including the ability to listen, understand, and mentor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication skills -- both oral and written
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
