At Trade Winds to Success Training Society, we empower Indigenous individuals in Alberta through pre-trades training and employment services. We are currently seeking a Fund Development Intern to join our team this summer.
The Fund Development Intern will play a key role in gathering insights from stakeholders, planning communications, and supporting the execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
In line with our mission, duties include:
Stakeholder Engagement:- Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of engagement strategies and activities (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups, meetings).
- Support outreach and relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.
Research & Analysis:- Collect, organize, and synthesize data from engagement activities.
- Present key findings and insights to inform strategic planning and communications.
Communications & Marketing Support:- Assist in drafting blog posts, social media content, and internal communications.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns.
Event Planning:- Help coordinate logistics and promotion for organizational events.
General Support:- Take on special projects and administrative duties as assigned by the Fund Development Officer
KEY COMPETENCIES:- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Research and data analysis capabilities
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Collaboration, with the ability to work independently when needed
- Creative thinker with an interest in marketing and storytelling
QUALIFICATIONS:- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience or coursework in community engagement, communications, or event coordination
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with survey tools (e.g., Google Forms, SurveyMonkey) and social media platforms
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset
DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:- This summer internship runs from May 19th to August 28th, 2026
- This full-time position works out of our Edmonton office
- Hours of operation are 8 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday
- Compensation is $21/hour
- This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program, which supports quality summer work experiences for youth 30 and under
