SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver assistant to join our team in Toronto. As a Delivery Driver assistant at Hospital Bed Rental Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring our medical equipment reaches our clients safely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to exceptional service.
Responsibilities- Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing medical equipment and supplies (lifting required, but not continuous).
- Prepare and stage orders for delivery or pickup, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of sensitive equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse or storage area.
- Support inventory management by updating stock levels and tracking incoming/outgoing items.
- Operate computer systems to create invoices, process orders, and update customer records.
- Use inventory and billing software to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and office personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Inspect equipment for damage and report any issues promptly.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines, especially when handling medical equipment.
- Provide general support for both warehouse and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications- Previous experience in general labour, warehouse, or logistics environment preferred.
- Good knowledge of computer systems, including invoicing, data entry, and basic software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar).
- Ability to lift and move moderately heavy items (with lifting required but not on a continuous basis).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling orders and invoices.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory systems or willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
