Grocery Manager – Independent Upscale Specialty Supermarket
Toronto area | Full-Time | Member of Store Management Team
An established upscale specialty supermarket is seeking an experienced Grocery Manager to lead a high-volume department serving a loyal customer base.
This role is ideal for a hands-on grocery leader with strong merchandising skills, experience managing inventory and staff, and knowledge of Italian and specialty food products.

Responsibilities- Drive sales, gross margin, and merchandising execution
- Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and shrink
- Lead, train, coach, and schedule grocery staff
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service
Requirements- Minimum 3 years’ Grocery Manager experience in a high-volume supermarket
- Strong grocery merchandising and inventory control skills
- Familiarity with Italian food products and specialty grocery items
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 kg and work approx. 50 hours/week
CompensationBase annual salary will range from $65,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience.
The compensation package also includes comprehensive benefits and a discretionary annual incentive.
