Looking for an experienced machine operator for heavy construction equipment/machinery on site. We have a fleet of equipment (such as excavators, bulldozers, rock trucks, etc) and looking for an experienced operator to be responsible for regular operation on subdivision development site in Grand Bend, Ontario and Listowel, Ontario.
Responsibilities and Duties- Maintain equipment to ensure it operates safely and effectively.
- Preparing machinery for daily use, inspecting machinery for safety issues, and daily operation. Mechanical abilities an asset.
- Perform all duties assigned by the Supervisor, various construction and landscaping tasks.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly; picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use.
- Follow instructions to ensure safety of entire team.
Job Skills & Qualifications- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
- WHIMIS training; Working at Heights Training; Worker Health & Safety Awareness training; Knowledge of applicable safety precautions are assets.
- Must have a valid driver’s license to get to and from various job sites.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
Looking for someone who is flexible, able to work independently as well as part of a team. Must have a valid drivers license.
