Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc. is seeking a Temporary Full Time Human Resources Administrative Assistant Up to One Year Term. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Operations, this position provides support and assistance to the Human Resources team to help maintain personnel matters throughout the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Support the Human Resources department in preparing letters of documents related to HR operations
- Monitor the recruitment and human resources emails; and distribute as required
- Assist with coordination and planning of the Human Resources Events (onboarding, career fairs, recruitment, years of service)
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and periodically audits all employee personnel files
- Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes
- Draft and send emails for new hires
- Enroll new hires in the company’s compliance training program (Workhub)
- Assist the HR team in drafting job descriptions.
- Work in collaboration with the HR team and Senior Finance officer in completing the bi-weekly payroll notification (PRN) for payroll related leaves, recruitment, garnishments, and group benefits.
- Supports the HR team by completing forms, reports, kits, and surveys.
- Manage and maintain the commercial auto policy, forwarding emails as required for new hires and employees leaving the organization.
- Ensure all personnel files are complete and current.
- Completing the record of leaves for the Finance and Operations department
- Contributes to the successful delivery of human resources functions through the company’s values.
Qualifications:- Minimum grade twelve diploma or equivalent.
- Enrolled in a post-secondary diploma program in human resources or office administration combined with experience would be considered an asset.
- Previous work-related experience and ability to work in a team environment.
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office package; including Microsoft Teams
- Demonstrating a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of traditional First Nation values, beliefs and healing approaches and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
- A successful recent criminal record check and a valid driver’s license
