We are proud to be the only school in Canada offering seven distinct Dog Guide programs. Our operations span two locations: Oakville, ON, and Breslau, ON.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team for an 8-week summer contract. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate pursuing a career in Human Resources to gain practical experience in talent acquisition and HR administration within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Reporting to the HR Generalist, the Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative and project support with a focus on recruitment coordination, HR file standardization, records management, and data administration.
Key Responsibilities- Support talent acquisition activities, including posting opportunities, screening resumes, interview scheduling, participating in interviews and candidate communication
- Assist in the preparation and organization of recruitment materials, including job descriptions, job postings, and interview guides
- Help maintain and standardize recruitment documentation and employee files to support consistency, accuracy and compliance
- Update and maintain electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring HR records are organized and current
- Assist with administrative projects related to records management and HR process improvements
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team as required
Qualifications & Experience- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Human Resources, Business Administration, or related post-secondary program
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Position Details- Location: Oakville, ON (Hybrid, 1 day/ week in office)
- Rate: $17.60 hourly/ 35 hours per week
- Contract: Sumer full time Employment (July 15 – August 7, 2026)
