We are seeking a skilled and proactive I.T. Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for technical issues, providing support for hardware, networking, and software systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and excellent customer service to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance for all staff and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide timely assistance for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- System Maintenance: Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance tasks on workstations and servers to ensure security and stability.
- Infrastructure Management: Assist in the setup and configuration of networking equipment and user workstations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of hardware inventory, software licenses, and support ticket resolutions.
- User Training: Create brief guides or provide hands-on training to staff on new software or hardware implementations.

Technical Requirements1. Hardware- Installation & Repair: Ability to assemble, configure, and troubleshoot desktop PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, docking stations).
- Component Knowledge: Proficiency in diagnosing and replacing internal components such as RAM, hard drives (SSD/HDD), power supplies, and motherboards.
- Mobile Management: Support for mobile devices, including tablets and smartphones, within a corporate environment.
2. Networking- Connectivity: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols.
- Equipment: Experience configuring and troubleshooting wireless access points, routers, and switches.
- Infrastructure: Knowledge of physical cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) and basic network security practices, including firewall management.
3. Operating Systems- Windows Ecosystem: Expert-level knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.
- System Administration: Experience with Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, and user account management.
Qualifications & Soft Skills- Education: Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) is highly preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues under pressure.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear and patient manner.
- Adaptability: Readiness to stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (moving servers, workstations, or printers).
- Ability to work in confined spaces (under desks or in server closets) for wiring and hardware installation.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
