About the RoleCreative Kids Education Centre is seeking a Before School & Inclusion Support Educator to support our school-age program and inclusion practices across the day.
This position includes:
- Before School program support
- Classroom coverage throughout the day
- Dedicated inclusion support (approximately 4 hours daily)
Reporting to the Inclusion Coordinator and Assistant Director and this role works closely with classroom educators and community stakeholders to support equitable access, participation, and independence for all children.
Responsibilities- Support a safe and engaging before school program for school-aged children
- Provide classroom coverage to maintain ratios and support program flow
- Deliver 1:1 and classroom-based inclusion support
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with the Inclusion team
- Adapt activities and environments to support participation and independence
- Model inclusive practices and support classroom educators
- Contribute to culturally inclusive programming and classroom environments
- Maintain open and professional communication with team members and families
- Participate in team meetings, reflective practice, and ongoing professional learning
Skills & Qualifications:- Early Childhood Education diploma or related field (ECE, Special Education, Developmental Support Worker, Recreation Therapy or equivalent preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a structured yet flexible environment
- Experience working with children of all ages and developmental stages
- Experience supporting children with diverse needs
- Knowledgeable in child centred approaches to challenging behaviours and strength-based program planning
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with children, parents, educators, and support staff
- Proficiency in first aid procedures and understanding of health and safety regulations
- Current First Aid & CPR (Level C)
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
