We're currently looking for skilled and reliable independent contractors to join our team and take on a wide variety of projects. Position Overview:

We're seeking a versatile and experienced general laborer to work directly for Pipia Contracting, and to handle projects such as T-bar ceiling installation, wood and steel framing, drywall installation, taping, tiling, fences, decks, basements, kitchens, and more. You must be able to work independently, and have own vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and repair fences, decks, and outdoor structures
• Perform interior renovations including basements, kitchens, bathrooms and flooring
• Complete general painting and maintenance projects - including work in a school setting
• Preform framing, drywall, painting, flooring, trim work, and other general carpentry
• Read and follow plans and/or blueprints accurately
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Preform physical labour on construction sites like digging, lifting or carrying materials
• Assist in setup and cleanup of work areas
• Operate hand and power tools under supervision
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team leads

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, renovations or general contracting
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• Must have your own HST number or willing to obtain one ASAP (mandatory)
• Own tools, vehicle, and safety gear
• Strong carpentry and general renovation skills
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Excellent communication and time management
• Comfortable working in schools and public buildings with professionalism

Nice to Have:

• Experience with minor plumbing
• Safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights)
• Project management experience or ability to lead small crews

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
• Some evening shifts as needed
