NuwayBC is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Instrument & Maintenance Technician to support industrial and manufacturing clients across the Lower Mainland. This role suits someone with strong electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation experience who can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems that keep facilities running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems, including sensors, controllers, and electrical components.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Install, modify, and repair instrumentation equipment according to safety standards and technical specifications.
- Use AutoCAD drawings for installation planning and system modifications.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and improve process efficiency.
- Inspect electrical systems, including low‑voltage wiring and connections, to prevent failures.
- Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, calibrations, and system changes for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or a manufacturing environment.
- Technical diploma in instrumentation, electrical, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and safety standards.
- Proven electrical experience, including low‑voltage troubleshooting.
- Mechanical aptitude for machinery maintenance and repair.
- Experience with PLCs and automation systems.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings; AutoCAD proficiency is an asset.
- Familiarity with sensors, CNC machinery, and automation components.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a customer‑service mindset.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
