The Inventor Specialist is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and advancement of intelligent 3D product models, automation logic, and digital libraries using Autodesk Inventor. This new role ensures a seamless model-to-manufacturing workflow, integrating design intent, bill of materials (BOM), fabrication, and downstream production processes.
Technical / Functional Responsibilities:- Create and maintain parametric 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor
- Develop and manage Content Center libraries and custom components
- Build and maintain iLogic-driven configurators and automation tools
- Develop Python scripts to automate workflows, validation, reporting, and system integration
- Use SQL to manage structured product data, configuration tables, and BOM logic
- Ensure model alignment with manufacturing, fabrication, and installation processes
Training & Enablement- Lead training and onboarding for production release teams
- Develop standards, templates, and best practices for modeling and release
- Provide ongoing technical support during process transitions
Customer Service & Collaboration- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively gather input and deliver solutions aligned with customer needs
- Communicate technical concepts clearly across teams
Qualifications:- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Autodesk Inventor Certification or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of Content Center, iLogic, automation, and digital libraries
- Minimum 5 years of Autodesk Inventor experience
- Experience with manufacturing or construction workflows
- Exposure to facade, fenestration, or building systems preferred
- Hands-on experience with Python and SQL in engineering applications
- Strong organization, time management, and multitasking skills
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects and meet established deadlines
- Ability to map workflows and recommend technology improvements
- Experience with virtual construction tools and IoT-enabled fabrication machinery
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per annum
