IT Auditor Team Lead

💰 Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000 CAD + Bonus + 5 Weeks Vacation
About the OpportunityOur client, a leading global investment bank with operations in Montreal, is seeking an experienced IT Auditor Team Lead to oversee IT audit activities for the Montreal office. This leadership role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced financial services environment while collaborating closely with senior leadership and global audit teams based in New York City.
The successful candidate will lead a team of IT auditors and drive audit initiatives across IT systems, cybersecurity, and data governance functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesIT Audit & Risk Management- Lead and execute IT audit engagements across technology, cybersecurity, and data environments
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Assess and validate IT risk controls and governance frameworks
- Identify control weaknesses and escalate critical findings to senior management
- Prepare clear audit documentation, findings, and recommendations for stakeholders
Team Leadership & Development- Manage and mentor a team of 3 IT auditors (1 Senior Auditor and 2 Intermediate Auditors)
- Allocate audit projects and oversee team performance and delivery timelines
- Support employee development, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Foster collaboration across local and global audit teams
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting- Partner with senior leadership, risk committees, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Present audit findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to management
- Contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies and best practices
Qualifications & Experience- 6–8 years of audit experience with strong exposure to both general audit and IT audit
- CISA certification is required
- Experience within financial services (banking, insurance, asset management, etc.)
- Previous experience leading or mentoring junior auditors
- Strong understanding of IT risk, cybersecurity, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment

CompensationThe annual salary range for this position is $140,000 – $150,000 CAD, plus performance-based bonus and 5 weeks of vacation. Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
