The Cloud Architect is responsible for developing strategic cloud capabilities and designing solutions. They will own all architecture deliverables necessary to evolve the cloud technology landscape that supports our applications and business functions, following reference architecture frameworks and industry best practices to help drive cloud adoption, evolution and transformation.
This role is located at our Head Office in Vaughan, ON. This posting is for a new 12-month contract position. The expected annual salary range for this role in $102,000- $123,000/year.

- University Degree in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a College Diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise-grade cloud and complex infrastructure solutions, with expertise in architectural design, hands-on implementation, high availability, disaster recovery, database platforms, and security.
- Azure Solution Architect Expert certification required.
- Expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS design, implementation and support, including connectivity, security, networking, and disaster recovery.
- Hands on experience with all Azure IaaS constructs (resource groups, VMs, VNETs, blob storage etc.), and Azure data services such as Azure SQL, Data Lake, Data Factory.
- Hands on experience with infrastructure automation and coding – Terraform, Bash/PowerShell scripting, Python, Ansible, Puppet, Azure ARM templates, version control (GitHub, GitLab).

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day- Design and implement a multi-region Azure hosting platform, incorporating Microsoft landing zone best practices supporting core infrastructure services and IaaS/PaaS workloads.
- Lead the Data Centre Migration to Azure project, including the assessment of all on-prem applications, cloud disposition planning, solution design, migration planning and execution.
- Develop innovative solutions using native cloud services, incorporating functional and non-functional requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient designs.
- Define architecture models and reusable solution design patterns that enable rapid deployment of cloud services for diverse business entities.
