The OpportunityA part-time IT Service Desk Assistant to provide technical support to users in the college community by troubleshooting and resolving problems with their technology to ensure effective use of computing resources in the Sault College environment. The IT Service Desk Assistant is expected to perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the computer labs. The IT Service Desk Assistant assists with the maintenance of documentation.
What you need to be successful:- two-year diploma in Computer Studies or a related field
- working knowledge of technology, software and peripherals, i.e. laptops, mobile devices, printers
- experience in network environments, installing software, and understanding identity and access management
- experience in a networked Windows environment, installing software, and understanding accounts and security permission
- excellent verbal and written communication skills within a corporate and academic setting
- strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
A regular part-time support staff position, $22.73/hour, up to 24 hours/week
