We are currently looking for a Managed Services Technician to join our team. This role would be best suited for someone who is looking to kickstart their career in IT and gain a high level of exposure to a broad variety of tasks and projects.
The RoleWe are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to provide front-line technical support to our customers, helping to get them back to doing what they need to do as quickly as possible. As a Managed Services Technician on our Rapid Response Team, you will be receiving and triaging support tickets via phone, email and chat, while maintaining the highest possible level of customer service. You will be responsible for diagnosing, researching, and resolving Tier 1 technical issues, including desktop hardware and software issues, networking issues, and AD/M365 Administration.
This role will require going onsite to client sites from time to time to assist with issues that may not be able to be resolved remotely. It also requires participation in our shared on-call rotation, with compensated on-call slots every month or so once you’ve passed probation.
You'll also be working with the rest of the technical team to resolve various issues, assisting on projects, and putting out fires.
There is lots of opportunity for growth and development in this role, with various paths forward into different areas of IT.
This is an in-office position in Vancouver, BC. Our team typically works Monday to Friday with flexible start times from 8:00-9:30.
Requirements:- BCIT diploma or degree in Computing & Information Technology (TSP, NAT), or equivalent level of Industry Certifications & Work Experience
- Exceptional Desktop Support and Troubleshooting skills - Windows OS
- Understanding of basic Networking and Remote Access concepts (WAN/LAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc)
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 Admin Centre
- Exceptional Customer Service and Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
- Experience working with ticketing systems and maintaining clear and concise documentation of all incidents and service requests
- Clean driving record and valid Class 5 BC driver's license required
Technical Skills - Nice to Have:- Experience with hosted phone systems (eg. Ring Central)
- Strong firewall and network security knowledge
- Virtualization experience
- Windows Server troubleshooting experience
- RMM/PSA experience
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Azure AD Connect and Group Policy
- Experience with switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VLAN configuration
- Microsoft Certifications (eg MS900)
- Other Industry Certifications (ie. Network+, CCNA)
