OverviewWe are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic technology support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of IT systems, providing exceptional technical support, and ensuring the smooth operation of our network and hardware infrastructure. Responsibilities- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers across various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot software issues related to Microsoft Office, operating systems, and specialized applications such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and other enterprise tools.
- Manage and resolve network connectivity issues involving LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and computer networking components.
- Support hardware maintenance, upgrades, and repairs for desktops, servers, and peripheral devices.
- Assist users with help desk requests via ticketing systems suchs as ServiceNow or Jira, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Configure and support remote access solutions including VPNs to facilitate secure connectivity for remote users.
- Maintain documentation of technical procedures and user support activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system updates, security patches, and software deployments.
- Monitor network security protocols to prevent unauthorized access or data breaches.
Experience- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with network concepts such as LAN/WAN configuration, firewalls, VPNs, and basic cybersecurity practices.
- Experience using ticketing tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for issue tracking and resolution management.
- Knowledge of computer networking protocols including LAN setup and management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Prior experience supporting enterprise applications such as Jira or ServiceNow is a plus.
