Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our technology support team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of operating systems, computer networking, and customer service, ensuring seamless IT operations across the organization. The IT Technician will play a vital role in resolving technical problems efficiently while delivering excellent service to users.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices across multiple operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware components and peripherals.
- Assist users with software troubleshooting, including Microsoft Office applications and other enterprise software.
- Manage and support network infrastructure such as LANs, firewalls, and VPN connections to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
- Utilize ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and other ticketing systems to document issues and track resolution progress.
- Configure and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security tools to optimize performance.
- Support help desk operations by responding promptly to user inquiries via phone or ticketing system.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software deployments.
- Collaborate with team members on projects related to system upgrades, network improvements, and cybersecurity measures.
Requirements- Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles with strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LANs, firewalls, VPNs, and LAN troubleshooting.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems for issue tracking.
- Strong understanding of software troubleshooting techniques for common enterprise applications like Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and maintenance practices.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot network security devices such as firewalls.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and technical support clarity.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are preferred but not required.
