Job OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Junior Support Engineer to join our technical support team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in IT support, computer networking, and troubleshooting across various operating systems. You will work closely with senior engineers to resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
Duties- Provide technical support to clients via support channels, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Linux operating systems
- Assist with support tasks such as installing, configuring, and maintaining our software product
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems involving LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations
- Support service management tools including ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and other ticketing systems to document incidents and track resolutions
- Resolve software issues related to Microsoft Office applications and other enterprise software
- Assist in configuring and maintaining network security measures such as firewalls
- Collaborate with senior team members to escalate complex issues when necessary
- Maintain clear communication with customers to ensure timely resolution of technical problems and provide excellent customer service
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing
Skills- Strong understanding of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations
- Knowledge of hardware components and support procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot software issues in company products
- Basic understanding of network security protocols and firewall management
- Excellent communication skills for effectively assisting users at various technical skill levels
- Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude toward problem resolution
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
