Responsibilities- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing individualized support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
- Incorporate various teaching methods, including hands-on activities, storytelling, and technology integration.
- Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with special education needs.
- Maintain an organized classroom that is conducive to learning and exploration.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Have knowledge of the Canadian curriculum for English, Math, Science
Skills- Strong background in early childhood education principles and practices.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages such as French is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Ability to computerise lesson plans and utilize educational technology tools.
- Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities within the classroom setting.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for students who may need extra assistance.
- Familiarity with special education strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting student progress and communicating with parents.
- Proficient in office tasks related to classroom management and administration.
