Job DescriptionButchers Block BBQ is an award winning restaurant located in the Burnaby Heights neighbourhood. We are currently looking for experienced cooks to join our family style setting, working with great food and an amazing team.
Our cooks are dedicated, organized, and have a great attitude. They are outgoing and able to work alongside others and independently. Most importantly, they are passionate about serving up mouth-watering, delicious food!
We are currently looking for a kitchen assistant who will be doing food prep, cleaning and line assistance when needed. You have your Food Safe certification and some experience working in a fast-paced kitchen. If not, you are still willing to learn and meet our standards.

Responsibilities and Duties- Preparation of food
- Cleaning all areas of the prep and kitchen areas, equipment and utensils
- Maintaining proper rotation of meats, produce and other items in the walk-in cooler and freezers
- Ability to work week ends and evenings
Qualifications and Skills- Prep cook experience is an asset
- Food Safe Certification

Job Type: Part-time leading into full time as the summer comes closer.
Salary: $17.85 to $18.25 /hour, depending on experience
