OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in daily food preparation and service. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen environment, ensuring that all food handling and meal preparation processes meet high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meals
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Help with food handling and storage to ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Ensure proper meal presentation and portion control as directed
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food industry standards
- Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables as needed
- Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels
Experience- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices is advantageous
- Experience with serving or meal presentation enhances ability to support front-of-house functions
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for hygiene and safety is beneficial
- Prior roles involving food handling or kitchen work demonstrate readiness for this position
