About the role
Manulife is hiring a Lead Enterprise Technology Domain Architect for its Global Technology & Cyber Security team. This role sets architecture direction for a business or technology domain and supports the organization’s digital transformation strategy. The position is hybrid, with Toronto, Ontario listed as the primary location.
Responsibilities
- Define target-state domain architecture and multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise strategy and business objectives.
- Establish architecture standards, principles, patterns, and governance processes, and lead architecture reviews.
- Guide decisions involving cloud platforms, application modernization, integrations, APIs, and data architecture.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, regulations, and governance frameworks.
- Assess technical debt and modernization opportunities, and recommend investments that deliver business value.
- Work with business and technology leaders to translate priorities into capabilities and architecture roadmaps.
- Mentor architects and engineering teams, and contribute to enterprise-wide architecture practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in application, solution, domain, or enterprise architecture in complex organizations.
- Ability to define architecture strategies, target-state roadmaps, and modernization plans.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, application modernization, integrations, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience leading architecture governance and large-scale technology initiatives.
- Understanding of security, risk, compliance, and data privacy requirements.
- Experience with Agile and product-based delivery environments.
- Experience with platforms such as LeanIX, ServiceNow, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps, Lucidchart, Jira, or Confluence.
Experience in financial services or other regulated industries, cloud transformation, TOGAF, AI, automation, or relevant certifications is an asset.
Compensation
The expected salary range for the Toronto location is $113,260 to $210,340 CAD per year. Incentive compensation may also be available. Actual pay may vary based on location and job-related factors.
