OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various welding techniques. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities- Build and assemble metal structures according to specifications and blueprints.
- Perform welding tasks using various methods, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery such as plasma cutting equipment and press brake machines to shape and cut materials.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision.
- Collaborate with team members to rig components for assembly and installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the fabrication process and implement effective solutions.
Experience- Proven experience in welding and fitting roles, with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with machining processes is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
