Salary Range: $67,040 - $119,548

Assignment / ScheduleThe Learning Support Teacher works primarily at Burton Elementary but also supports our learners at Edgewood Elementary School. These are both four day / week schools.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills:- A valid Teaching Certificate from the BC Teacher Regulation Branch
- Post-secondary education and experience teaching intermediate grades, experience in multi-grade classrooms is an asset
- Demonstrated ability in planning and designing engaging learning activities using BC curriculum
- Strong interpersonal skills and strengths working within a team environment
- Excellent classroom management skills and proven ability to engage all learners
- Excellent ability to differentiate for all learners and co-plan for diversity and engagement
- Successful experience integrating socio-emotional learning and self-regulated learning
- Demonstrated understanding of indigenous cultures, and experience integrating First Peoples of Principles of Learning into teaching practice
- Successful experience in facilitating outdoor learning experiences with a focus on place consciouses and cross curricular learning
- Commitment to co-developing the School Growth Plan and collaboratively organizing for learning
- Exemplary use of assessment strategies that engage learners and foster learning
- Professional learning inquiry experience that informs professional practice
- Commitment and expertise in building relationships with parents and community
- Willingness to participate in the school's extra-curricular programs will be an asset
