OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines
Experience- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation and serving in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
