OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Line/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensuring that ingredients are ready for cooking and presentation. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, and a passion for food service is a plus. The Line/Prep Cook will work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to support smooth daily operations and deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring for various dishes
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling salads, garnishes, and side dishes
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and storage areas
- Handle food safely according to established safety protocols and hygiene standards
- Support the cooking team during busy periods by providing prepared ingredients promptly
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety guidelines
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
Skills- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Good communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with restaurant operations or the food industry is a plus
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations
