Monday to Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (split shift).

Job Description

The Machine Programmer creates, modifies, and optimizes CNC programs and machine instructions for precision manufacturing. The role supports part accuracy, efficient machine performance, and adherence to production specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and fine-tune CNC programs to meet engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Review and adjust programs and tool paths to optimize cutting conditions, surface finish, and material use.
  • Select tooling and cutting parameters, and support machine setup teams.
  • Review first-run parts and adjust programs to meet quality standards and tolerances.
  • Improve machining strategies to reduce cycle time, extend tool life, and increase production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and production teams on manufacturability and design changes.
  • Maintain program, setup, and machining parameter documentation.
  • Ensure operations comply with safety requirements and operational guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, program, and part deviation issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of CNC or machine programming experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of machining principles, G-code/M-code, and CNC operations such as milling, turning, and multi-axis machining.
  • Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or Siemens NX.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, blueprints, 3D models, and engineering documentation.
  • Familiarity with machining tools, materials, speeds, and feeds.
  • Experience troubleshooting machining issues and implementing corrective actions.
