The OpportunityLeavitt Machinery is looking for a results driven Major Account Manager to join our team in Brampton, Ontario. As the Major Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding strategic relationships within the major account segment across North America, while owning the full lifecycle of equipment sales and major account contracts.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the Major Account Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the sales strategy and growth of a portfolio of segment vertical accounts, including prospecting, account planning, and long-term relationship development
- Developing and executing account plans aligned with customer procurement cycles, fleet strategies, and operational goals
- Managing the full sales lifecycle including RFPs, RFQs, long-term rental opportunities, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and implementation
- Building strong relationships with key decision-makers including procurement officers, plant managers, and fleet managers, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor
- Collaborating with internal teams including service, rentals, parts, operations, finance, and legal to ensure successful contract execution and customer satisfaction
- Coordinating equipment specifications, delivery timelines, onboarding, and resolving any service or contract-related escalations
- Identifying and pursuing upsell and cross-selling opportunities including service agreements, fleet modernization, and training solutions
- Ensuring all contracts meet internal compliance, legal, and risk management standards
- Maintaining accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and supporting audits, performance reviews, and vendor evaluations
- Representing the organization at site visits, procurement meetings, and industry events
Required Skills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- 5–10+ years of B2B sales experience, including a minimum of 3 years in major account management
- Experience in materials handling, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or capital equipment sales is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success managing and growing complex accounts
- Strong understanding of procurement processes including RFPs, RFQs, and long-term agreements
- Proven ability in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and managing long sales cycles
- Strong financial acumen including understanding of margins, lifecycle cost, and total cost of ownership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver professional sales proposals
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience working with CRM systems, ERP tools, and contract documentation
- Strong organizational, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- High motivation and resilience with the ability to achieve targets independently and as part of a team

The base pay range for this role is: $70,000 annually plus initial bridge salary and uncapped commission. Total earnings (OTE) estimated at approximately $150,000 in the first year.
