Position OverviewThe Manager, Early Childhood Services (ECS)/Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) Services, will provide visionary leadership and operational oversight for the ECS & FSCD Services programs ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission to promote inclusive, family-centered, and evidence-based services for children with developmental disabilities. This position will ensure high-quality service delivery, foster professional excellence, and strengthen community and interagency partnerships. This position will co-manage the ECS Program and have full oversight of FSCD Services.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership & Program Development- Lead and evolve the ECS & FSCD programs in alignment with the organization’s strategic priorities and emerging needs in the sector.
- Collaborate in setting annual program goals and objectives to promote high-impact service delivery.
- Ensure effective implementation of special initiatives that enhance developmental outcomes and support family engagement.
- Identify, embed, and monitor core professional practices grounded in current research.
Operational Oversight- Provide day-to-day oversight of program logistics, service delivery, staffing, and issue resolution.
- Ensure efficient workflow processes and staffing structures that optimize service quality and operational excellence.
- Coordinate ECS intakes and child placement with the Social Worker, Early Years Family Navigator.
- Ensure all documentation, reports, and communications meet funder and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with FSCD Services Supervisor to ensure alignment of ECS and FSCD services and supports for children and families.
Leadership, Supervision & Team Development- Oversight of program staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development.
- Provide developmental supervision (coaching, reflective practice, and performance feedback) to build staff capacity and ensure quality service delivery.
- Direct supervision of Education Leads and FSCD Services Supervisor.
- Approve final timesheets for payroll processing, professional development and resource requests
- Lead regular Team Meetings and Support the development of Early Learning Workshops to foster collaborative planning and learning.
- Fosters a collaborative and inclusive team culture that prioritizes psychological safety and continuous learning.
Policy, Reporting & Administration- Lead or contribute to the development and refinement of organizational policies and procedures.
- Support technological innovations and staff capacity-building to improve program efficiencies.
- Draft, edit, and manage internal and external communications (e.g. program updates, newsletters, awards).
- Coordinate Alberta Education eligibility, funding requirements, and program reporting.
- Oversite of FSCD Services mid-year and annual reports with FSCD Services Supervisor.
Family & Community Engagement- Champion inclusive, culturally responsive, and strength-based practices in family engagement.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to develop strong family relationships and service continuity.
