Manager, Enterprise Strategy

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager to lead enterprise and business-line strategy projects and support the Bank’s strategic planning process. The role works with senior management, business leaders, and other stakeholders to develop recommendations and implementation plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy development and advisory work, including research, analysis, and recommendations.
• Plan projects, gather data, perform financial analyses, and build models to assess potential benefits and costs.
• Manage project workstreams and facilitate problem-solving sessions, workshops, and interviews.
• Synthesize findings into recommendations and implementation plans.
• Support enterprise and business-line strategic planning, competitive research, benchmarking, and communications about strategic priorities.
• Help organize strategy offsites for senior management and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business or engineering; a graduate business degree is also noted.
• At least 1.5 years of post-undergraduate experience in consulting, corporate strategy or development, or investment banking.
• Financial-services experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, planning, presentation, writing, and relationship-management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
