Job SummaryThe Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security (Dallaire Institute) was established in 2007 by retired Lieutenant-General the Honourable Roméo Dallaire, former Force Commander of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR). Our mission is to develop new strategies and tactics to progressively end the recruitment and use of children as soldiers worldwide.
The Manager, Resources Management and Grants is responsible for ensuring the smooth implementation of Dallaire Institute projects, as well as supporting new business development for the organization. It will work across multiple teams to ensure the effective delivery of projects on schedule and on budget. It will lead to the drafting of project proposals.
The Manager, Resources Management and Grants will coordinate a diverse team of colleagues across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinates on the needs required to support philanthropic donor proposal development and reporting needs, as well as global proposal development and review processes, ensuring all staff inputs happen in a timely and effective manner and advising on donor compliance requirements to ensure high-quality and on-time proposals.
- Create narrative and financial reports, plans and adjustments, meeting set deadlines for reporting and ensuring communication with philanthropic donors is supported with relevant documentation, being in charge of the communication and setting of agreements with Legal and Finance colleagues at Dalhousie University to follow up on legal, financial and budget requirements, including providing timely project reports for review by Dalhousie finance staff to meet contract deadlines.
