We’re Looking For:We are seeking a Safety and Security Manager to manage OPENLANE’s safety performance at assigned Vehicle Logistic Centers (VLCs). You will be part of the Operations team responsible for identifying and correcting potential hazards, incident reporting, and compliance with internal safety programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your experience to partner with managers, HR, and employees to foster a safe and healthy work environment.

- A Mentor: May serve as a mentor or SME for other safety coordinators and supervisors within OPENLANE.
You Will:- Lead the implementation and compliance with our Safety program, including coordination/retention of safety records
- Manage a team of security professionals and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Security department
- Serve as co-lead of site safety committee and participate in national safety calls
- Liaise with Safety Coordinators across the region to instill a strong culture of safety at the VLC’s.
- Conduct regular inspections, observations, and safety talks in conjunction with site leadership to foster a safety-conscious culture
- Educate department leaders and employees on safety procedures, including industry best practices and company requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all incidents, including near-miss, participating in investigations and recommending corrective or preventive actions as appropriate
- Monitor general facility and department inspections and safety programs for compliance
- Coordinate safety requirements for contractors, including retention of contractor safety agreements, workers compensation clearance status, and insurance coverage
- Liaison with HR for workers compensation reporting, return to work, and escalation of safety related concerns
Who You Will Work With:Reporting to the Sr. Manager, VLC Operations, this role will collaborate with HR, site leadership, and employees on a daily basis.
