What You’ll Do Day-To-Day:- Oversee and direct a team of trained and qualified Project Managers to manage sector projects.
- Ensure consistent implementation of and compliance with PM related project policies, procedures and practices.
- Manage proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning and implementation for highly complex sector projects from tendering to award to project execution and closeout.
- Monitor and maintain project control and scheduling standards to ensure efficient project support.
- Plan and implement cost improvement programs to attain business, customer, and process objectives.
- Work with senior mgmt. to develop/maintain PM forecasts.
- Review major project contracts and purchase orders for terms and conditions of the contract including project deliverables, schedule milestones, and commitments.
What You'll Bring:- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 12 years of related experience, including a large network of connections in the nuclear industry.
- Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certification is strongly desired.
- Expert knowledge of a sector's processes, products, services and organization.
- Ability to set strategy and vision for medium to large size organization.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through managers/supervisors.
- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.
