We are growing rapidly and are looking for a Marketing Writer to own all written communication and conversion-focused messaging across RFL Wealth Management.
Role OverviewThis is a performance-driven role, focused on writing that directly impacts revenue- not just content creation. This role is responsible for turning strategy into:
- High-performing ads
- Compelling emails
- Engaging blogs
- Event-driving invites
The Marketing Writer will play a key role in driving leads, conversions, and brand authority.
Key Responsibilities1. Conversion-Focused writing- Write compelling copy for:
- Digital ads
- Landing pages
- Email campaigns
- Event invites (dinners, referral events)
2. Email Marketing- Create and manage:
- Prospect campaigns
- Nurture sequences
- Client communications
- Optimize for:
- Open rates
- Engagement
- Conversions
3. Content Creation (Blogs)- Write 4–6 blogs per month for:
- RFL website
- Physician-focused educational content platform
4. Newsletter Creation- Develop internal and external newsletters:
- Educational
- Brand-building
- Client engagement
5. Campaign Collaboration- Work closely with the department to:
- Align messaging with campaigns
- Support launches and initiatives
- Improve performance across channels
6. Messaging & Brand Consistency- Maintain a consistent RFL voice across all platforms
- Ensure messaging reflects a premium, authoritative brand
7. Testing & Optimization- Continuously test:
- Subject lines
- Hooks
- Messaging angles
- Use performance data to improve results
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILECore Traits- Strong writer with clear, persuasive communication style
- Understands human psychology + buying behavior
- Can simplify complex financial concepts
- Detail-oriented but fast-moving
- Takes ownership and initiative
Qualifications, Skills & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- 3–7+ years in copywriting, marketing writing, or content roles
- Experience in wealth management, financial services, fintech or professional services (e.g., accounting, legal) is preferred
- Experience writing:
- Email campaigns
- Ad copy
- Blogs / long-form content
- Strong understanding of conversion-focused writing
- Familiar with tools like:
- Email platforms (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, etc.)
- CRM systems
- Basic SEO principles
Operational Requirements- Based in Ontario
- Strong communication with internal team
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Compensation & Structure:- Employment status: Full-time employee. Fully remote.
- Hours of work:
- Standard workweek of 40 hours.
- Overtime, where applicable, will be compensated in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act (ESA).
This role is an incremental addition to the existing team, with high ownership and visibility, created to support the company’s growth objectives.
