Salary: 44.98 to 54.70 per hour (Graduate RNCA - $43.18 ; Registered Nurse - as per the salary range indicated)

JOB PURPOSE

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, provides quality safe patient care within the scope of professional nursing practice to patients and families in the Operating Room. Performs other duties for efficient operation of unit as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active registration with NANB.
• All required certifications up to date as per Horizon Policy.
• Minimum 1 year recent (within past 5 years) operating room experience or successful completion within last 5 years of an approved OR course.
• Demonstrated assessment skills and ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to respond to emergency situations, rapidly changing priorities, and complex patient care needs.
• Demonstrated teaching, communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provided perioperative services as a team member within our standards of care
• Complete annual education requirements
• Always maintain and ensure patient confidentiality
• monitors and recognizes changes in patient conditions
• Perform nursing duties as needed to support surgical patients, Pre op, Perioperative and in PACU
• Adhere to departmental policies, protocols, procedures, and guidelines
• Work collaboratively and respectfully with RNs, Physicians, and other health professionals
• Responds positively and react in a flexible manner to a changing environment
