We've established a passionate harm reduction network and peer advisory council in Flin Flon, and we're looking for someone awesome to coordinate them. You'll get to do interesting, meaningful work in the community for great pay and benefits. We've done this in ten other communities around Manitoba, so you'll have the support of an experienced team.
You are:- Great at building relationships with all kinds of people
- Kind; you genuinely care about people, and value people who are different from you
- Interested in learning new things and challenging assumptions
- Great at working independently and managing your daily work, but love to stay in touch with your co-workers to share ideas and support each other
- Great at problem-solving and making things happen
- Bonus: You have lived or living experience with substance use
What you'll be doing- Running a peer advisory council of people who use drugs, planning STBBI testing and treatment events
- Running a harm reduction network of health care and service providers, meeting monthly to organize events and make services in Flin Flon better
- Supporting organizations in developing harm reduction services
- Managing the budget and paperwork for your program

What we're looking for- Familiarity with Flin Flon and the services available in the community
- 3 years experience in community health or social services, or an education in a related field
- Decent computer skills, including experience with Gmail and Google Docs
- Experience with budgets, finance management, and writing reports
- Demonstrated ability to work with Indigenous communities, and from a harm reduction, anti-racist approach
