Night Delivery Driver (Independent Contractor) – Speedy Delivery

Speedy Delivery is a locally operated delivery service providing late-night delivery support to a small group of restaurant and repeat clients in Brantford.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and independent contractor to cover late-night delivery shifts a few nights per week. This role involves completing deliveries, handling incoming calls from clients, and managing orders during the assigned shift.

This is a self-managed position where the driver is responsible for maintaining service standards and representing the company professionally.

This role is expected to average 5–10 hours per week. As the company continues to grow, there may be opportunities for increased hours, expanded night coverage, and additional responsibility for the right individual.

Compensation

• $20 flat base pay per shift (approximately 2.5 hours)
• In addition, drivers earn a delivery fee per completed order, plus any tips received
• Delivery fee structure will be discussed during the interview
• Total earnings will vary depending on order volume

Schedule

• Late-night shifts (approximately 2–3 hours per shift)
• Typical hours fall between 10:30 PM – 1:30 AM
• Availability for a few nights per week required

Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries within Brantford in a timely and professional manner
• Answer incoming calls and coordinate orders during the shift
• Manage multiple orders independently
• Maintain clear communication with clients
• Represent Speedy Delivery Express in a professional manner at all times

Work Conditions

• Some shifts may be busy, while others may have lower volume
• Contractor is expected to remain available for the full scheduled shift
• Work is performed independently without direct supervision

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Smartphone with data for communication and navigation
• Ability to handle cash and basic payment transactions
• Strong reliability and time management
• Comfortable working independently at night
• Must live in Brantford
