Position OverviewWe are currently seeking an OCT-certified teacher to join our team, providing both in-person and virtual support in the Oakville/Mississauga area. The ideal candidate has experience in executive functioning and literacy support.
We are currently hiring for the following role(s):
- Grade 9 – Executive functioning (in-home; female teacher preferred)
- Grade 7 – Executive functioning and literacy (in-office)
- Grade 10 – Literacy (in-office and virtual)
- Grade 3 – Literacy and math (in-office)
Candidates must be able to commit to working in our Mississauga office every Monday and Wednesday from ~3:00–8:00 PM.
Compensation:From$30 per hour
This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys individualized instruction, differentiated teaching, and building strong relationships with learners and families.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Teacher-Tutor at Goode Learning, you will:
- Deliver one-on-one instruction (in-person or virtual) tailored to each student’s learning profile
- Use assessment-informed strategies to plan lessons and monitor progress
- Adapt teaching to support individual learning needs and strengths
- Support students in literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific areas
- Communicate student progress with the internal team and families as required
- Build trusting relationships with families, helping them understand and support their child’s learning journey
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:
- Membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)(Certification must be approved with no terms or conditions; applications in progress will not be considered) – Pre-Service teachers in their second year will also be considered.
- 1–2+ years of classroom teaching experience
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum and current educational pedagogy
- Experience working with diverse learners and varying learning profiles
- Proven ability to apply differentiated instruction strategies
- Comfort using educational technology tools (e.g., Google Classroom, digital learning platforms)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A growth mindset, flexibility, and enthusiasm for supporting student success
