At Rip Rap Plumbing we are experts in working with new residential homes. Our Plumbing and Heating staff are involved in every step of building homes from rough-in’s, ground works to final touches on plumbing fixtures. We are a team of approximately 33 people, and we are dedicated to providing excellent customer service to our builder clients. We are located on an acreage just outside of Spruce Grove and our office looks onto a beautiful green space.
We are currently looking for an Office Assistant to join our team in the front-end office. The Office Assistant carries out the duties required for the day-to-day operations of residential plumbing in new builds. The successful candidate must be able to handle confidential information, have a keen eye for attention to detail, and be able to manage their time and multi-task on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate must be a team player with the ability to build relationships with all internal/external customers. The is a permanent full-time position with an excellent opportunity for growth.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:- Keeping an internal scheduling calendar current and tracking outstanding issues
- Updating portal software for various builders (Supply Pro, Buildbase an asset)
- Pulling plumbing/gas permits with follow up when to call for inspections
- Inputting prebuilt company files into software
- Price checking wholesale purchases and returns
- Providing support and necessary information to other administrators to ensure smooth communication between departments.

Qualifications:- An Office Administration diploma
- At least 2 years of experience working in an office environment (up to 1 year will be considered)
- Experience working in Construction, preferably the Plumbing industry would be a definite asset
- Must be extremely proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook shared mailboxes
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, while managing ongoing priorities
- Outstanding capability to learn and develop new procedures, while ensuring daily tasks are running efficiently and effectively
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional internal and external customer service skills
Since we are located on an acreage outside of Spruce Grove, candidates must have reliable transportation to work in our office.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
