Position Details: Full Time Permanent, New Position
Salary: Starting at $54,300, (based on a 35-hour work week and commensurate with individual education and experience, as it relates to the position).

What You Will DoWe’re looking for a highly skilled and service-oriented On-site IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary hands-on IT support resource for staff, public-facing systems, and visitor technology environments, while also supporting a national workforce of approximately 400 employees.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Act as on‑site IT support for the DUC head office
- Provide Tier 1–2 support for computers, mobile devices, printers, phones, and A/V equipment
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Coordinate with the Help Desk to resolve tickets
- Support technology in public spaces and presentation areas at the Wetland Discovery Centre
- Assist with setup and maintenance of displays, interactive systems, and A/V equipment
- Support user accounts, onboarding/offboarding, and security administration
- Work with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and device management tools
- Assist with equipment procurement, deployment, tracking, and logistics
- Support basic server, network, telecom, and conferencing systems
- Maintain documentation and contribute to the IT knowledge base
- Provide user training and promote good IT and security practices
Requirements3 years of experience in an IT support, deskside, or help desk role, or a combination of IT support and customer service experience
- Relevant diploma or degree in information technology, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments
- Experience supporting printers, mobile devices, audio-visual systems, and conferencing tools
- Proficiency in remote and on-site troubleshooting of desktop and laptop systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and endpoint security tools
- Ability to work comfortably in both office and public-facing environments
- Occasional travel within Canada may be required
- Additional hours may be required during critical project periods or organizational initiatives
- Experience supporting public-facing or visitor environments is an asset
- CompTIA A+ and or Network+ certifications are considered assets
