Position Overview

We are hiring a dependable Part-Time Class 1 Truck Driver for a dedicated cross-border route running from Ashcroft, BC to Sumas, WA. This position involves hauling bulk products using B-Train trailers with a manual transmission truck. Ideal for an experienced driver looking for consistent, predictable work on a steady lane.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a manual transmission truck hauling B-Train trailers safely and efficiently
• Complete dedicated trips between Ashcroft, BC and Sumas, WA
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Ensure secure handling and transport of bulk products
• Accurately complete all required documentation (BOLs, logbooks, customs paperwork, etc.)
• Comply with all Canadian and U.S. DOT regulations, including hours-of-service
• Maintain communication with dispatch regarding trip status, delays, or issues
• Keep equipment clean and in good working condition

Schedule

• Part-time position with a consistent, repeat route
• Trips scheduled based on availability and operational needs
• Opportunity for additional runs if desired

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (or CDL-A equivalent) driver’s license
• Proven experience operating B-Train trailers
• Comfortable driving manual transmission trucks (this is a must)
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
• Valid passport and ability to cross the Canada–U.S. border
• Clean driving abstract and strong safety record
• Familiarity with ELD systems and compliance regulations
• Ability to manage customs and cross-border documentation

Compensation

Paid per trip (competitive rate based on experience and lane)

Consistent, reliable work on a dedicated route
